NIRANJAN S BHARGAVA is the Managing Director of Ascensio Ventures. Niranjan leads the consulting practice of Ascensio Ventures.
An entrepreneur and businessman with over 18 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Niranjan excels in driving customer engagement and sales through his in-depth knowledge of business regulations and market trends. Having been in charge of a family business since the young age of 23 years, Niranjan has juggled multiple roles of marketing, sales, strategy, administration finance and operations.
In his leadership position, he has trained, mentored and guided several newcomers in the industry and has synchronised the pursuit of corporate objectives while guiding employees to accomplish their professional goals. Niranjan truly believes that the youth of India are the engine of development and was one of the initial leaders in the travel industry to offer paid internships to college students pursuing a tourism course to enable them to gain insights into the industry.
As an active participant in industry forums, Niranjan was elected the youngest Chairman of the Karnataka chapter of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI). As a part of TAAI, he has represented and highlighted the association's interests with various industry stakeholders including the Central and State governments and was part of the committee that presented recommendations to the Karnataka State Government for the Karnataka Tourism Policy 2020-2025.
As part of a TAAI committee, he initiated various industry-academia engagements with educational institutions offering travel and tourism courses in Bangalore and also enabled internship modules intending to create a pipeline of industry-ready professionals. Niranjan has been an Office Bearer of the TAAI Karnataka chapter for over 8 years and was a South India Council member of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) and is on the tourism committee of the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC).
